It is in deep sadness and sincerest condolences to take note of the passing of CYM soldier Kenny Ratema, who tragically passed away on Sunday, 11 March 2018, after being involved in a car accident, he was a full CYM member in good standing of URCSA Khutsong Branch, under the Westrand Presbytery.

As the Ratema family, the congregation of URCSA Khutsong and PUE of West Rand and as the CYM of the Southern Synod, we bid farewell to beloved member of the branch ministry, Monghadi Ratema, has served URCSA Khutsong CYM Branch as an ordinary member since 2001 and served as an additional member of the branch executive committee with the portfolio of Organiser.

As CYM in our Region, we send our sincerest condolences to all who had the opportunity of engaging and being drawn by his and love of the ministry and passion for music which he proudly served and supported CYM.

As CYM Southern Synod re mo tsamaisa ka Hosanna 28 (1), Verse 5;
“Jwalo ke kgotswe ka mehla
mohau wa Modimo
ke qhadile ho iketla
tshepong ya Hodimo.”

We acknowledge his support and dedication serving the branch. As a ministry, we are strengthen by God’s word from 1 Samuel 3:2-3 “Mohlang oo, yare Eli ha a ne a robetse sebakeng sa hae, etswe mahlo a hae a ne a se a qadile ho foufala, a sitwa le ho bona, lampi ya Jahova eso ho time, le Samuele a se a robetse tabernakeleng ya Jehova moo areka ya Modimo e leng teng.”.

As the Regional Executive Committee of the Christian Youth Ministry of the Southern Synod, in tradition it is with pleasure to present the Lifetime Appreciation of Bronze Status, in honour, recognition and memoriam of lifetime dedication to the goals and ethos of the Christian Youth Ministry, and his contribution as an ordinary member of CYM Khutsong from 2001 till date.

Monghadi. Kenny Ratema will be laid to rest on Saturday, 17 March 2018, at URCSA Khutsong, details will follow and communicated in the process of the week. CYM Westrand PUE will conduct evening prayer from 18:00 on Wednesday, 14 March 2018 at the home, 5483 Ext 2, Khutsong Location, Carletonville.
